We celebrated Mother's Day by attending church, of course, facetiming our own moms, taking a couple pictures, and Ryan BBQed some chicken for dinner. It was a simply day and I loved it! My kids showed me how much they loved me by excitedly giving me their handmade gifts and cards they had made at school, and giving me lots of hugs. I am one lucky mama!!
My BBF Jess gave me this sweet "Be Present" bracelet and I wear it all the time now. It's serving as a much-needed reminder.
That evening, the Croshaws and the Reeves surprised me at my door by telling me I'd won the "World's Best Mother" award (nominated by their youngest, JP) and let me choose what I wanted on an ice cream sundae. Isn't that the cutest idea?! I felt quite loved!
Spent some time relaxing in the backyard while the kiddos played. :)
Grace's class threw together a "reader's theater" for the parents to attend towards the end of school. They had a few kids reading "The Giving Tree" and a few kids playing the parts. I didn't really know what to expect or understand what it was Grace was doing in this reader's theater... so when I walked into class and saw this GORGEOUS, shimmering, calm, sweet-faced girl standing there ready to be the "giving tree", I was totally blown away. Isn't she beautiful?!! She did a great job and was so confident and humble. She blows me away.
Grace with Kaitlyn, who played the girl who dates the main boy. I don't remember if they have names in the story...
Another really great view. It does a mama's heart good to see all my children playing nicely together.
My friend Jess was in search of a fancy dress for a fancy wedding (non-LDS wedding). There's really nowhere good to shop around here and she really wanted to go to Sacramento. So a couple other friends decided that we should go together for a little shopping excursion with just the girls. It was A MIRACLE we were able to pull it off! Our husbands (with the help of a couple sitters) were able to hold down the fort while 4 of us mamas went to Roseville from 3-10pm. It was SO wonderful and so needed. Thank you, Ryan!!
We did some dress shopping (Jess found what she needed) and I tried on some fancy things just for fun. This one was my fave.
Cheesecake Factory for dinner!!
I love these ladies so much. Leaving them is so heart-wrenching.

Grace finished up her sewing lessons with Sister Jackie Gridley from our ward. These have been so good for Grace. She's so good at focusing on details, being patient, learning a new skill with confidence, and enjoys being able to create something beautiful and structured. I'm thankful for Sister Gridley and all the time she spent with Grace!
Just another funny scene to share: Grace's "pirch", as we call it. At meal times I am constantly telling her to sit on her bum! Funny girl.
Just a little ice cream stop for fun.
