Sometimes these 3 can be super sweet and fun together! I love those moments so much. Grace is so helpful with Boston and knows when I'm losing my mind. She'll whisk him away while I'm cooking so I can have a moment without him crying at my feet. She often helps Logan undo his button-up shirts after church when we're all rushing to get changed and get lunch made. Logan is my informer and likes to *tell me* what terrible thing Boston is doing while watching the whole thing unfold. He just doesn't like to jump in a stop the act or lend a hand. haha. Boston loves to be doing what the big kids are doing and be one of them. He doesn't like being picked up by them, pushed aside, or given a "baby toy" when they're doing something cool like legos. He just wants to run around, chase the big kids/be chased himself, play hide and go seek, and do what they do. He literally copies everything they do! When Logan starts to roll around on the couch and throw pillows, Boston does it right away. When Grace is telling a story about seeing someone riding a bike, and puts her hands up like she's holding the handlebars, Boston immediately does it too. It's so funny, and also quite scary how quickly he picks up their behaviors.
But boy I just love all 3 of these kiddos!!
Our wonderful bishop and his family invited us to go play on their boat for FHE a couple weeks ago. Right after Ryan got home from work we headed to Lake Oroville. It was SO MUCH FUN! The water was absolute perfection. It wasn't even cold to jump in. There was hardly anyone else out at that time so we practically had it to ourselves. We're so grateful for the Warrens and how sweet and inclusive they are. We know we have much younger kids than they do and not as easy to "go with the wind" as a lot of other families, but they always think of us and we are thankful for their friendship.
Crazy hair, don't care!
Not bad for a monday evening activity, eh?
For the end of summer, I FINALLY (for the first time I think) took my kids to a local park. Yikes. We usually play in our own backyard... but this time I actually took them to Bille Park and the kids instantly noticed over 100 pennies strewn about the mulch. How cool is that! They spent a good long time searching and collecting, and sharing with others.
Boston enjoyed burying himself with the mulch, of course.
