Tori & Jake Visit

A few days after as we got back from our Utah trip, Tori and Jake came out to visit!! We were BEYOND excited to have them come play, and for us to get to know Jake better. We're so happy to have him in the family!
We enjoyed some trampoline time right off the bat.
Squishy face.
Took the kiddos bowling (kids bowl free in the summer). Tori KILLED US ALL.
Mmm, watermelon.
We taught them a few new games including Word on the Street, which the kids love to play with us.
I just had to record this proof that I ACTUALLY beat Ryan at a game (Cover Your Assets)! That pretty much never happens. (I was "w" for "wife")
In the morning on friday, while poor Daddy had to work, we headed down to Chico to pick peaches!! The Chico State farm opens up to the public each year and you can pick as many peaches as you want. We had a great time and picked probably way too many because it was so much fun haha. They were just so yummy and huge, we couldn't help ourselves.

I made some peach cobbler a few days later. Yum!
The Croshaws let us come swim in their pool that afternoon as well. They are the best of the best, and it was a perfect activity on a hot day. Boston typically cries most of the time, but he loved hanging out with Jake.

Friday night was date night. We took Jake and Tori to one of our favorite places: Ojiya Japanese Steakhouse. It never disappoints!
Then we grabbed some Homemade Mexican Ice Cream... we were very multi-cultural that night.
On saturday we took our kayaks and a picnic to Lake Almanor. It's a 2 hour drive but totally worth it. It's so beautiful there!! The water was perfect and everyone had a great time playing and kayaking.

Until.......... Ryan found a frog. Actually several of them. Cute, tiny, sweet little guys. But Ryan flipped out (he has a very terrible fear of frogs) and ended up sitting as far away from the water as possible. But this was our compromise since what he really wanted to do was instantly pack up and drive home.
We had a great time!! I'm so glad we live not too far from places like this.

Thank you for coming, Tor and Jake! We love you guys.
